Artifacts
iMovie_Presentation: For this activity we had to create a presentation to show the rest of the class how to do something. In this case we created a presentation on how to use iMovie and demoed to the class the software and some of the more common features that iMovie has to offer.
Language Learning: For this activity we had to subscribe to LiveMocha to practice website evaluation. Our goal was to use the website for a couple of weeks to see how the site worked and how much we could learn. We also had to create a rubric to evaluate the website.
Multimedia Project: Our final project was to create a multimedia training module. The training module that we created was to give our audience an orientation to Elluminate Live covering the basic equipment needed to access to site, the tools available and how to use some of the more common tools of Elluminate.
Reflection
ETEC 570 covered some of the essentials to E-Learning and creating tools to facilitate E-Learning. I found this course to be really useful for the program and to help prepare us to effectively create an E-Learning environment. Out of all of the assignments I found the Flash assignment where we had to learn flash the most challenging. All of the other assignments were easy to figure out and required us using tools that were relatively easy as well as accessible. To complete the Flash assignment we had to go pacifically to labs that had Flash installed on them if we were not willing to purchase a $300 software bundle. The assignment was also very time consuming, there were multiple small sections that we needed to complete before moving on to the next assignment that built upon the skills that were learned in the previous assignment. The Flash assignment was definitely thorough in the learning process, and I’m sure had we continued with the whole book we would all be relatively good at creating Flash assignments and projects.
